Royal Bridesmaids’ Dress Designer launches in the States

Nicki Macfarlane, designer of The Duchess of Cambridge’s bridesmaids’ dresses is to launch her ready-to-wear collection this weekend at the New York Bridal Fair.

Though they are already well established and renowned in the UK, their international profile has been raised, thanks to The Royal Wedding.  Following numerous requests and opportunities, Nicki and daughter Charlotte finally decided this was the right time to take their collection to The States.

“We are incredibly excited to be going to New York this week. We’ve found that in addition to our connection to The Duchess of Cambridge, there is also a real love of the traditional ‘English’ look we offer, so we’re really looking forward to a successful launch in America,” says Nicki.

Nicki has been making bespoke dresses for over thirty years and in 2010 she created a ready to wear collection that is now available in John Lewis, Harrods and independent bridal and childrenswear stockists across the country.  In February this year, Nicki was commissioned to make the five younger bridesmaids’ dresses for The Duchess of Cambridge.
